I'd heard the sandwiches at Salumeria were good, but I didn't know just how good.
My friend and I ordered two sandwiches and shared halves of each. The salumi sandwich with provolone, pickled peppers, shredded lettuce, oregano, red wine vinegar & aioli was pretty good but my vote goes for the roast beef sandwich. The roast beef, watercress, caramelized onions & horseradish aioli sandwich on pretzel roll is the best sandwich I've had in SF. That pretzel roll is perfection.
